A beautiful village rug from the Karajeh region of NW Iran, Circa 1930. The size is exactly 5 x 10. It has natural dyes which has muted to a wonderful patina and is in excellent condition with excellent pile, no repairs, stains, worn arears, or other issues, it’s a real gem. The weaver has incorporated into the design small animals with geometric designs taken from the earlier Caucasian rugs across the border in the Russian Caucasus mountains. One of a kind that was treasured in someone home in Iran for almost 90 years and now available as a heirloom in a lucky person’s home here that will be enjoyed for another century.
