A recreation of an 1880 Persian Sultanabad, this rug is 12.1 x 15.4 and was hand knotted in India using 100-percent New Zealand wool. It features a soft gold ground with red outlines and an all over pattern of floral and vine motifs with exquisitely rendered lotus blossoms. While the rug’s featured colors are pale gold and rust red, there are also shades of pale greens and browns. It is difficult to capture the true coloration in photos so enlarge the photos in order to see the fine details and true coloration. This is a beautifully handcrafted rug that preserves the look of an antique Persian rug.
