Persian Village from NW Iran 5.2 x 9.8 V-219
1 in stock
A wonderful village rug 1900-1939. Excellent condition with medium pile and no stains, repairs, or issues. The knotting is small and tight and the wool from that region is the best in Iran, and has old vegetable dyes which had aged to a wonderful patina. These primitive rugs are difficult to find, especially in really good condition. These are the essence of rug weaving, woven by the owner from wool from their sheep, dyeing the wool and creating the design as she goes along. Finally selling the rug for income for her family. My wholesale price is $895 with a retail of 2.5-3K V-219
