A really great and beautiful Persian Karajeh from NW Iran, north of Heriz near the Russian border. I really like Karajeh rugs and this is exceptional, really exceptional, both in the fineness of the knotting, the design, and the drop-dead colors. Very fine knotting which allowed the weaver to create very small designs and detail. Circa 1920, the natural dye colors have aged and muted to a wonderful patina and the all-over design will be a great addition to any room. The size is 3.6 x 14.9 and has excellent, even pile (kork wool) and no issues. One of a kind, a real gem and what a pleasure to gaze upon each day. Ready for another 100 years and to be passed down as a family heirloom. $1695
