A beautiful 9.3 x 12.2 Persian Tabriz design hand knotted with silk and wool pile using 400 knots per square inch. The wool is thick and soft in shades of greys, greens, pale pink and red accents against an ivory ground in an intricate floral allover design that is typical in a Persian Tabriz. Silk is used to highlight the patterns and small white knotting outlines individual motifs. Made in China, it is new and exemplifies careful craftsmanship. China stopped making hand-knotted rugs in 2019 and now only produces machine-made rugs. The hand knotted rugs are now becoming very scarce and expensive with rug dealers so this is a rare find.
Rugnet only sells hand knotted new, vintage and antique rugs in excellent condition. All rugs are shipped free of charge. There is no sales tax for customers outside of Virginia.
