4×6 Silk & Wool Persian Isfahan Oriental Rug Isfahan-411

This is the pinnacle of Persian rug weaving, a silk foundation (Silk Warp & Weft) with a wool pile where the designs are highlighted in silk.  The weave has an incredible 624 hand tied knots per square inch.  It used the finest Kork (Lamb) wool from Azerbbaijan providence, northern Iran and is signed by master weaver Isfahan-Rahmanan.  This masterpiece is truly a work of art and should be hung on a wall or placed in a very protected area.  The exact size is 3.6 x 5.6 and is perfect , “new” in that it was never walked on but was woven in the early 1970s.  When viewing the front of the rug the silk shows as white against an ivory field.
